Community Involvement:
My family and I have been actively involved in the Las Vegas Community through various forms of education.
E-STEAM-for-All Non-Profit: (Science Technology Engineering Art Math): Our family’s non-profit dedicated to bringing STEAM to all young students, regardless of background and means. To date, we have had over 10 events and introduced over 500 students and families to hands on STEAM through projects like bottle rockets, strawberry DNA extraction, building electric cars to cardboard creations of arcade games like skee ball! For more information please visit E-STEAM-for-All Non-Profit
Career Club: We recruit diverse successful professionals to speak with high school students so students can be introduced to careers they otherwise would not have considered. Our panel has included doctors, lawyers, politicians, law enforcement, venture capitalists and even media personalities. We have had tremendous response from teachers and students. For more information or to be a speaker please visit the Career Club website.
Finance for Future Generations: We partnered with Junior Achievement to create a one week curriculum to teach finance to the next generation. This course was taught to two classes of summer school through CCSD Family Engagement Center. Students loved this course so much that they saved their snacks for our high school instructors! We will be returning in summer of 2026!
Students for Responsible Social Media: We recognize the positive and harmful aspects of social media. We are excited to start a program towards responsible social media usage. We hope to incorporate this program into our summer 2026 finance curriculum as well as a high school launch in fall of 2026.
